The deadly coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, has been confirmed in 599 new cases in Nigeria.

On Tuesday night, the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed the cases on its official website.

According to the NCDC, one COVID-19-related death has been reported in the country.

“The 599 new cases have been reported from 15 states: Delta (194), Edo (94), FCT (80), Kaduna (48), Lagos (35), Ondo (23), Kano (21), Rivers (20), Kwara (20), Ogun (18), Plateau (12), Abia (8), Cross River (8), Ekiti (6), and Bauchi (3),” according to the NCDC.

The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 239,019, with 213,180 discharged and 3,027 deaths.
