The chairman of the Karaduwa State establishment committee, Alhaji Kabir Aliyu Maska, has sent the Senate and national assembly committee his memorandum for consideration.
I Maka led the other members of the committee in submitting the request for appropriate action to the National Assembly committee.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, the committee chairman claimed that all the necessary materials had been supplied and filed for the establishment of Karaduwa State.
He said that similar memoranda were submitted to the national assembly in 1995, 2010, and 2021, consecutively, by the movement calling for the establishment of the envisaged Karaduwa state.

According to Alhaji Kabir Aliyu Maska, there are already eleven local governments in the planned Karaduwa state, which are located in Katsina state. Eleven more local governments are being proposed.
Engineer Tukur Lawal Funtua, the committee’s secretary, also spoke and clarified that the push to establish Karaduwa State is consistent with the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s constitution.
Engineer Tukur went on to say that because Katsina State is expected to have a population of over eleven million, expansion is necessary to create an atmosphere that supports economic growth.
He asserts that the urge to establish Karaduwa State stems from the hopes and desires of the local populace.
He urged everyone to support the campaign in order to accomplish the intended aims, stating that Karaduwa State is blessed with abundant people resources, sociocultural influence, and economic impact.
