Kenneth Imasuagbon, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State, has urged Nigerian leaders to identify with the people they govern, particularly in light of the current economic situation.

This was stated by Imasuagbon on Sunday during his annual rice distribution to the people of Agenebode, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, and Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Government Area, where he was born.

“Leaders must begin to feel the people’s suffering and identify with them,” he said. That is the only way we will be able to begin assisting them. If you can eat but your neighbor can’t, there’s a problem. Take a look at how people are battling to get a 10kg bag of rice. I will do everything in my power to end hunger.

“I am appealing to all Nigerians, particularly Edo sons and daughters, to join me in the fight against hunger in Edo state.” We must provide food for our children. All we have to do now is defeat hunger.

“Let us take a lesson from Captain Hosa Okunbo, who gave it to everyone.” He told everyone who came into contact with him. You don’t have to be wealthy to help the less fortunate. Now is the time for our leaders to recognize that our people are hungry.”
The philanthropist gave food and money to Christ Family Orphanage in Otoukwe, Agenebode, and urged all well-meaning Nigerians to share with the less fortunate, needy, and downtrodden.
