I Destroyed Our Properties, Burnt Clothes, Reduced Us To Trash Several Times- Actress Chacha Eke Opens Up On Her Biopolar Disorder.

Nollywood famous actress, Chacha Eke Faani has recently opened up on the struggles she faced in her marriage due to her bipolar state.

The actress who spoke as a representative of the Meticulous People Foundation at the House on the Rock Church in Asaba, Delta state, recently shared with an auditorium filled with guests how she usually destroyed properties in her house, burn her, her children’s and husband’s clothes, reducing them to trash several times.
Chacha recounted how she usually had maniac episodes that would make her loose her mind and do things that she wouldn’t do when she’s in her right mind.

She noted that she had thought what was happening to her was a spiritual attack from family, friends and others due to her fame.
After sometime when she continuously became aggressive and even ran off to the street naked sometimes, she was forcefully taken to a hospital where she was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder.

According to the actress, the news wasn’t pleasant to her and she didn’t want to accept it at first especially because of her popularity and the stigma that comes with having such mental illness.
She noted that she was given medical pills to help her condition but she always avoided using them and would flush them down the toilet.

After sometime however, she began to accept her reality and live in her truth. She eventually embraced and loved herself, and started living with it.
The mother of four explained that regardless of all these turbulence, her husband stood by her despite the fact that she had accused him of wanting to kill her and use her for rituals on several occasions.
