A building belonging to a pastor from the Redeemed Christian Church Church of God, RCCG, in Adebun, Ado-Ekiti, has been demolished by enraged teenagers over the disappearance of a seven-year-old girl who was discovered dead in his home.

The girl’s lifeless body, identified as Demilade, was reportedly discovered in the pastor’s residence after she was reported missing on Monday.

Demilade was supposedly dispatched on an errand by her parents before being kidnapped and killed by the pastor’s daughter, who was suspected of being mentally ill.

When the seven-year-old girl failed to return from the errand, her parents were alleged to have raised an alarm.

Residents began searching after hearing the alert, and the lifeless body was purportedly discovered in the pastor’s home.

On Tuesday, ASP Sunday Abutu, the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the event to journalists, saying that a suspect had been apprehended in connection with the murder.

“The girl’s body had been recovered and lodged at the morgue,” he stated.
