WOJI Deserves Impactful Projects, Not Deceit – George Ariolu

Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Barr George Ariolu has stated that the people of Woji community deserves the presence of meaningful projects that will impact on them and not deceit the All Progressives Congress (APC) members who disguises themselves as lovers of the community.
Ariolu stated this on Tuesday, while addressing guests at the official flag-off of the construction of Community Secondary School, Woji, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
The Chairman while speaking, condemned the All Progressive Congress (APC) for their continuous display of nonchalance and deceit to the people of Woji community.
He said, “we are promising you today that as we have laid this foundation, we will complete it because Woji is an integral part of Oro-Evo, it is an integral part of Evo and also an integral part of the great Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, so you deserve attention, not decieit. Enough of the deceit.”
He maintained that the political structure in Obio/Akpor is irreversible following the dividends of Democracy, progress and unity that the PDP has introduced across the state and wards.
“The political structure in Obio/Akpor has come to be and we cannot change it. It will continue to be the way it is because through it we have seen progress, through it we have seen dividends of democracy from the state to the ward,” he stated.
He warned those who pose as professors of academic learning to remain focused on their academic pursuit and maintain strict professionalism in the discharge of their duties rather than going about communities causing chaos and creating problems through their selfish political ambitions.

Ariolu who described the Member, Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Kingsley Ogundu Chinda as a man with infectious humility, lauded party faithfuls for their support towards the administration of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and other party leaders.
He charged them to intensify support for the leaders to ensure more dividends of democracy is achieved across the State.
According to him, the construction of the school project which consists of 19 classrooms, teachers’ offices, administrative office, head teacher’s office and toilets will be an ultra-modern building.
Speaking further, he stated that education is the bedrock of the society and powerful agent of change which seeks to improve health and livelihood and contribute to social stability that will drive long-term economic growth of individuals and society.
He stressed that education will give everyone a chance to acquire new knowledge and soft skills that will enable them improve themselves.
He pointed also that education will also help children to appreciate themselves, their ambitions and knowledge from an early stage, encouraging students to understand that they have been given a once in a lifetime opportunity through the establishment of the school.
Commending the paramount ruler of Woji Community, HRH, Eze Sir Amb. Dr. Emeka Ihunwo JP, for birthing the idea of the construction of the Woji Secondary School, Ariolu urged members of the community to cooperate with the contractors in safeguarding equipments to be used for the completion of the project.
He however disclosed the council’s desire to embark on the construction of a link road in Rumuolumeni in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
Special guest of honour, Commissioner for Education, Professor Chinedu Mmom who performed the official flag-off of the school project commended Governor Wike for allowing the will of the people prevail through the emergence of Barr Ariolu as Chairman.
According to him, the position of Local Government Chairmen before the emergence of Governor Wike has been used as a tool of compensation to those who believed they have worked and deserve settlements.
While commending Ariolu for embarking on a massive project like the Woji Secondary School, he maintained that the Local Government Chairmen under the leadership of Governor Wike have continued to surpass the expections of the people through their consistency in delivering dividends of democracy.
