Ubah’s Aide Narrates How The Senator Escaped Assassination Attempt.

Media assistant to Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Mr Kameh Ogbonna, has narrated how the Federal Lawmaker representing Anambra South at the Red Chamber escaped the onslaught by gunmen.
Not less than five persons were feared dead after gunmen opened fire on the convoy of the Senator at Nkwo Enugu Ukwu, Njikoka local government area of the state at about 1700hrs today, Sunday September 11th, 2022.

In a statement issued on Sunday night, Mr. Ogbonna said that save for his principal’s bulletproof SUV, he would have been killed by the gunmen suspected to assassins
No fewer than six policemen attached to the senator were killed during the attack.
He said, “If not for the bulletproof Jeep (SUV) the Senator was riding in, he would have been dead by now.
“This is an attempt on the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
“We were passing Enugwu Ukwu junction when they hit us front, back and from all sides and as I speak with you, Obum the Special Aide to the senator is dead and about seven security operatives were hit by the assassins bullet and they may have died,” he said.
