Afrobeats musician Seun Kuti has responded to former President Muhammadu Buhari’s passing.
According to Kuti, the late leader’s impact on his family was greater than that of any other family in Nigeria.
In a video posted to his Instagram page, Seun—the youngest son of Afrobeat icon Fela Kuti—disclosed this information.
He revealed how, during his tenure as military Head of State, Buhari allegedly mistreated his father and his uncles, Beko and Koye.

He said he did not consider the previous president’s death as justice and regretted that the guys he looked up to had passed away long before Buhari.
The musician went on to say that although he cannot bring his loved ones back, he takes some solace in the idea that they might band together to oppose Buhari in the hereafter.
“No one has hurt and offended Buhari as much as my family. Buhari dealt with my family, yet his passing does not bring my family any sort of justice or triumph.
My only regret is that my father, Fela, passed away before him, and my uncles, Koye and Beko, were all finer men than him. The singer remarked, “The only comfort I can find in his passing is that, if there is such a thing, the three of them will band together against him in the afterlife.”
