Press Release: CP Ari Mohammed Ali Warns Ipob To Desist From Enforcing Sit At Home Order In Delta State Region Otherwise Face The Consequence.

Consequently the command under the  watch of CP. Ari Mohammed Ali Of Delta State Police Command Asaba mobilised all the human and material resources available within reach and to  showcase to the world what the Delta State command is capable of doing.

Men of The Police in Delta state had gotten an information in the early hours of May 18th, 2022 at about 06:00 hrs that some members of IPOB who enforces Sit at home order in the South East had mounted a road block at Ugbolu area of Delta state.

In show of force, the gallant men prevailed to foil the plans of the ESN. Unfortunately,they had fled the scene where they mounted some road blocks with wood and other material available before the men of the command could reach them.

Information from people within the community when it all happened gave useful lead on how a dangote truck driver conveying cement from opela was stopped and questioned by IPOB /ESN on why he isn’t obeying the sit at home order given, the driver responded that he wasn’t aware and was shot to death at the instance.

Other motorist along the road had to flee for their lives into the community to avert the wrath of IPOB as three cars was set ablaze and a tricycle burnt beyond recognition.

CP Ari Mohammed noted that his men are more than capable of deterring them from whatever sinister intentions they harboured, dominating the whole of the state on Monday,  Tuesday also, and Wednesday as well to make sure that there was no form of unfortunate incidence coming from any where.

He further, assures residents of Delta state that the  Command under his watch will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that peace and security is guaranteed in the state as it is everywhere within and outside the metropolis. People are going about their normal duty which indicates that the command is capable of ensuring security at its peak.

He promised not to allow hoodlums under the guise of ESN/IPOB pitch their tent in delta. In the first place Delta state isn’t part of south east nigeria and as such their directive of sit at home cannot be enforced here, it should be restricted to south east region where they think they can do it and go Scot free, he quipped.

He warns that whoever wants to test the resolve of the state under his watch  certainly will face the consequences, stating that the men of the command will not relent in providing security to the residents of the state, this is a message to them all.

CP Ari  further revealed that those who comes into Delta state to commit these atrocities comes  from neighbouring states, like Anambra. In Delta State, there are marine police and military contingents on the water ways that are conducting stop and search,  inspite of this they will find their ways into ASABA especially by road but our men are ever ready to apprehend them to ensure security on the land and water ways is guaranteed.

Everyone is going about their normal duties as no one respected their authority or trespasses because men of the command is capable of providing security and safety of lives and properties in Delta state unhindered, he said.

Community policing synergies is at work, that’s why the degree of damage wasn’t as would have expected due to community policing strategies being put in place to curb the excesses of ipob. He commended deltans for giving the needed information to apprehend this hoodlums.

Massive deployment has been done in some very local areas in Delta state where these ipob men makes their hub, with the support of the police their threats didnt hold much.
