The Presidency has rejected the report, alleging that President Bola Tinubu bestowed a national accolade to Aisha Yesufu, a staunch supporter of Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi.
According to reports, Temitope Ajaiyi, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, denounced the alleged accolade as fake news in a post on X on Friday.
Tinubu’s aide emphasized that the Presidency has not issued any new honor rolls in addition to those mentioned in President Tinubu’s address to the National Assembly joint session on Thursday.

In other events, the Chairman of Tantita Security Services, Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, announced his support for President Bola Tinubu on Friday, claiming that he is the only visionary leader capable of revitalizing the country’s struggling economy.

The former Niger Delta warlord also claimed that a big victory had been achieved in the fight against oil theft and pipeline vandalism in the resource-rich region, assuring Nigerians that the previously rampant sabotage of national infrastructure had been greatly reduced.

According to reports, during a press briefing organized by the PBAT Door-2-Door Movement in Abuja to commemorate Democracy Day, Tompolo, speaking through the Technical Adviser to the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Edgar Biu, stated that the President’s reforms have demonstrated that he has both the vision and determination to complete his initiatives.
