Zagazola Makama says that the incident happened when the driver of the police armored car left the engine running for a short time in a busy market area.

People said that Frimpong took advantage of the situation, got into the car, and drove away. This made security personnel respond right away.

After getting reports of the theft, police officers worked together to chase the suspect along the Nkawie–Mim route.

Authorities called the operation quick and well-planned, and he was finally caught and arrested near Mim.

A security source said, “The suspect was caught without any more problems, and the car was found in good condition.”

Authorities said that the armored vehicle was taken back without any damage and is now back in police custody.

Frimpong is still in jail while the police look into what happened in full.
