Parts of Oyo State experienced violence on Saturday at local government congresses organized by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a faction devoted to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.

On Saturday afternoon, Professor Abdulrahman Akinoso, the chairman of the Wike-led PDP group in Oyo, acknowledged the attacks.
