After turning down their first offer, Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen reportedly accepted a huge deal from Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al-Hilal less than twenty-four hours later.
The 26-year-old Victor Osimhen has agreed to a remarkable four-year contract at €30 million year, which is worth an incredible €195 million before taxes and bonuses, according to transfer analyst Gianluca Di Marzio.
Despite intense competition from Turkish champions Galatasaray and Premier League powerhouses Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea, Al-Hilal seems to have won the race to sign the Napoli forward.
The Saudi club’s record-breaking cash offer finally priced Galatasaray out of contention, despite their hopes of reuniting with Osimhen after a successful loan stint in Istanbul the previous season.
The Turkish publication Milliyet called the deal “astonishing,” pointing out that Osimhen’s valuation alone now surpasses that of all but three Turkish clubs: Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas.

After his demand for an annual salary of €40 million was not fulfilled, Osimhen was initially thought to have left the negotiations with Al-Hilal.
Sky Sports is among the outlets that now attest to the fact that a fresh deal has been struck. Despite being one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, the striker has accepted the €30 million annual offer.
But the move hasn’t been confirmed yet. According to sources, Napoli and Al-Hilal are still haggling over the final transfer fee, with their respective assessments of the player still differing by €5 million.
Both parties, however, are reportedly hopeful that an agreement can be reached in the next several days.
In the meantime, Al-Hilal has arranged for Victor Osimhen to travel to Paris for a medical examination.
On X, renowned sportswriter Ben Jacobs stated: “Al-Hilal has scheduled a medical for Victor Osimhen and is hoping to finalize a deal with Napoli this weekend.”
Osimhen is Al-Hilal’s major aim heading to the Club World Cup, but caution is still in place after a day of surprises. The Nigerian striker is in Paris today, and they want him to sign.
Osimhen’s next destination appears to be almost certain today, barring any last-minute snags from Napoli, following a season full of rumors, talks, and last-minute turnarounds.
The former Lille star will become one of the most well-known African players in the Saudi Pro League if the contract is finalized, thus enhancing the league’s reputation on the international football scene.
