Ned Nwoko, the congressman for the Delta North Senatorial District, believes that all political leaders should prioritize making Nigeria great and that politics should be an open table for the country rather than a secret meeting of a select few.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday, Nwoko stated that political debates, choices, and procedures had to be open, inclusive, and available to all.
He said that in light of this, the nation’s political and other leaders need to start thinking creatively for the sake of the populace.
Only we, the right political leaders, have the power to make our nation great. Because of this, my political beliefs and deeds are in line with the necessity of dismantling barriers of exclusive politics and advancing inclusive governance that provides justice, progress, and genuine benefits to the citizens of Delta North and Nigeria as a whole,” he stated.
According to reports, Nwoko, who chairs the Senate Committee on Reparations and Repatriation, stated that his two years in the Senate had influenced his bills.
“I take pride in highlighting one of the strongest pillars of my legislative record as I continue to reflect on my two years in the Senate: the sponsorship of 34 transformative Bills that directly address the needs of Nigerians and the future of our country.”
“My steadfast dedication to people-centered governance, economic reform, youth empowerment, institutional strengthening, and the equitable development of all regions, especially Delta North, which I proudly represent, is embodied in each of these bills,” he continued.
