A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ladan Salihu, has described the court cases against the ADC as avenue to ambush it and create a one-way traffic for the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, in 2027 general elections.

Salihu made the statement on Friday during a live appearance in an interview on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television.

He was referring to the party’s leadership crisis ahead of the 2027 elections.

“They have his signature on the resignation letter. Nafiu Bala Gombe has resigned from his position in the party,” he said.

“This case has been closed. It is all in a trap to ambush the ADC and to make sure that a pathway is created for the APC and the presidential candidate to have a one way traffic to 2027.

“Our lawyers are on this. The fact is Nafiu Gombe stepped down. “We have his papers, we have his signatures, we have everything and this guy is a willing tool in the hands of the APC and the government,” said Salihu.
