Ijegun/Ijeododo: HRM CC Nwokedi hosts Igando/Ikotun chapter of Ohaneze Ndigbo for a peaceful,successful election.

Igando Ikotun chapter Of Ohaneze visited Eze Chika Nwokedi, the Ezendigbo of Ijegun/Ijeododo community who treated the group to a well deserved hosting as all merried in excitement while thanking God for a successful and peaceful election, the most peaceful election conducted so far in the whole of Lagos, a well commendable effort put together by Eze Lawrence, the Ezendigbo of Alimosho Lagos.
The ohaneze lagos state election for Igando Ikotun lcda chapter was held on saturday, 11th June, 2022. Chief Ifeanyi, the secretary of the organisation for that chapter disclosed that the exercise was the most peaceful amongst the 57 local govts in Lagos. He thanked Eze Lawrence who in his wisdom handled the situation that would have brewed up, this display of leadership had led to a well conducted, peaceful election. It is a commendable coordination unlike previous elections carried out by Ohaneze Ndigbo in Alimosho.
The elected secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo Ikotun Igando further told Naomisophyblog that the group from Igando Ikotun fold is going round to all the Ezes to thank them, for how they conducted themselves and created peace, if by any means there is an Eze who has been proving difficult and non approachable within our jurisdiction, we will intervene as an executive and bring that Eze into the fold , he said.
In the next 6months to 1year, every representative of Ohaneze from all corners of the eastern part of Nigeria will participate actively in the new era of the socio cultural organisation.
The reason for the visits to all Ezes after the peaceful conduct is to thank all for their into making themselves available and giving utmost cooperation to their plights while celebrating free and fair election.The group also made an appeal to all Ezes cabinet and palace to assist the group to get an office as this is a necessity. Eze Dr.Chika has promised to support the organisation to get an office while 2 other Ezes have contributed 50 k each to support.
During the celebration, Eze Chika Nwokedi told the guest that all should embrace peace and be humble, he had hosted them on the 14th of June to a treat at his palatial home where all danced and merried. Eze Chika during the mini get together seized the opportunity to advise the outgoing and the incoming executives on way forward to enhance the socio- cultural organisation as he told the new executives to make a visible difference by getting an office and as time goes on they could have a permanent site, instead of hanging around hotels as meeting places, something not ideal especially for the married men and women. He promised to support the organisation in whichever way he can to see to a successful outcome.
Ezenwanyi Adaobi also introduced herself as the women leader of all the women in ikotun igando and as such is a peace maker, using the medium of the celebration he advised all to embrace peace and tranquility.

Speaking with Comr. Ifeanyi Iguegbe, he noted that as the secretary of the palace, all the Eze has to come into the fold and embrace peace, all who wants to act as vagabond will be treated as one, the Ezes are there as heads to foster peace amongst the people as this will be the main focus, for all to act as one under one body, no room for subdivision or in agreements, Chief Ifeanyi Iguegbe quipped.
