The Igbo speaking Committee under the leadership of High Chief (Sir) Cyril Sunday Eze conducted the coronation of Dr. CC Nwokedi and his amiable wife Lolo Tessy Chika Nwokedi at their palatial residence in Ijegun On the 3rd Of March 2022.

Before the commencement of the coronation, Chief Sunday told the dignitaries and the press present that Dr. Nwokedi was chosen by merit to be the Ezendigbo of Ijegun Kingdom, seeming it fit that he ( Nwokedi) wears the Crown of the Ezendigbo.

There was an array of guest in panache to the coronation which includes the Ezendigbo Of Alimosho Eze Laurence and his council of Chiefs ,High Chief Sunny Akpoyibo, The Ezendigbo of white sand community Eze Kingsley, elders and members of the Igbo speaking community, the Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Association of Nigeria members with Dr . CC Nwokedi as the chairman, the press, family, friends as well as well wishers.

The full tradition of the Igbo culture was displayed as custom demands as well as a Certificate of recognition accorded by The Igbo speaking community to the newly coronated Eze in accordance to the laws and order binding the position given.. The staff of office was also presented by the Ezendigbo of Alimosho Eze Lawrence to Dr. CC Nwokedi now the Ezendigbo of Ijegun Ijeododo.

Recounting some of the achievements of The Ezendigbo of Ijegun Ijeododo Dr. CC Nwokedi , he was the very first chairman of Ladipo Market at the age of 25, The president of the Ndi Igbo Buru Otu Association of Nigeria, the MD/CEO, Chipresido Merchandise property Ltd, The chairman of the prestigeous and apex Ladipo Auto Central Executive Committee (LACEC),a keenly contested position he won amongst millionaire rivals, one of the patrons of The Igbo speaking Committee, an advisory member of VONNEWS amongst other many achievement he’s gotten over the years.

Moving forward, Dr. Nwokedi told the press present at the occasion that as the new Eze of Ezendigbo of Ijegun Ijeododo, he has certain roles to perform which is: proffering diverse solution to the issues encountered by igbos under his jurisdiction, especially when it comes to land matters and other crucial matters, he has to make sure that the voice of the voiceless is heard, the creation of empowerment for igbos to the tune of 50m is achieved and to also ensure that the igbos are united. He will be coronating some persons into his cabinet as Chiefs on the 19th of March, 2022.

To show his role and responsibilities as a leader, he made reference to the recent inferno at the ladipo Market which was ignited by unknown persons purposely for destruction, as a former chairman he sees it as a duty to visit the site, show concerns and profer solutions to the problem at hand while he also commiserate with those who lost billions of naira worth of goods to the inferno.

Thanking God for the opportunity to attain a new height, he implored that well wishers join him at The Rhema Church For his Thanksgiving service noting that he never does anything without the presence of God and as such named his palace “Obi Ezioku”, will always stand for the truth.

Finally Dr. CC Nwokedi advises that the Igbos should learn how to help themselves in whatever situation, avoid conflicts and always do what is right.
