Gunmen shoots a police officer to death In Delta, suspects arrested.

Gunmen have shot dead a police officer in Ime-Obi, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, The Nation reports.

Members of the anti-cult volunteer corps, Agbor Division, who acted swiftly gave hot pursuit to the fleeing gunmen and arrested four suspects, a source said.

It was learnt the police officer, identified as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) David Igbinovia, was washing his Toyota Camry car at his residence when the gunmen attacked him, killing him on the spot.

A source claimed the gunmen fled the scene without taking any valuables.

It was learnt the late ASP Igbinovia hailed from Okada, a community in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State.
