Family, Friends And Associates Of Late Chikere Obieshi, Shot Dead By A Mobile Policeman, Demands For Justice.

The sudden death of Mr. Chikere Obieshi owner of Jesus Brother communication computer village Ikeja, a native of umuaro 1, in osuachala clan, autonomous of Isialambano, Imo state had left tongues wagging as to whether his death was a premeditated one or accidental as portrayed by previous reports. Chikere 38yrs, a married man with 4 children met with a fatal fate while celebrating with a friend named Raymond Ifeanyi aka Asiwaju on the 24th, April 2022.
On the said day, Chikere and one other were shot dead by a mobile policeman named Mohammed Oseni who supposedly came with the celebrant as a security aid while some other customers who were at the bar as at the time of the incident sustained gun wounds from the gun shots as well.
Raymond Ifeanyi Uche aka Asiwaju had a few friends get together to celebrate him at a bar called La Silver Bar around iyana ipaja area of lagos. This gig was put together to celebrate Raymond on his birthday. According to friends who knew the suspect, it was said that the birthday host shifted his gig to sunday as against the real day he had intended to celebrate with friends.

A viral video taken at the scene of the crime showed that while Chikere was raining cash on the celebrant, the mobile police shot at him from behind, same rifle also shot at one other to death and several were left with gun shattered legs and parts of the body.
Chikere’s family members which includes his elder siblings Mrs. Jane Obieshi and Anayochuku Obieshi as well as a younger sibling Osigwe Stanley morns the great loss of their bread winner greatly and are out to demand for justice, they insist that their son, brother, husband and father was assassinated and not a victim of an accidental discharge as circulated at the time of the incidence.

The Late man’s wife Mrs. Obieshi couldn’t hold back her tears and grief as she spoke to the press on how her husband left home on that faithful day to meet with death. She urged that the authorities should not sweep the matter under the carpet by springing up a defence for the police man but to bring the perpetrators to justice.

During a press brief organised by the family and business associates of Late Chikere Obieshi, a massive crowd of dealers came out Emass for procession in honor of the dead, emphasising against case manoeuvres by the authorities as they demand justice for the death of Chikere. Mr Samuel Ebiem( Vice president Papda) talked extensively on how justice needs to be served as Mr Chikere could be described as an easy going person, generous and one person loved by all. Samuel as well as other associates of dealers in the popular electronic market called Computer village insists that the incidence was pure murder and should not be analysed as accidental discharge. The dealers of electronic appliances associates who spoke includes Obyi Bright Ugochukwu, Prince Nonso Akano(Friend of the deceased), Germanus Anyila( Colleague&Club member) as they all in solidarity seeks the justice of their dear friend who passed on untimely.
The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Alabi had reacted to the report gotten on the day of the incidence and had ordered that the culprit be haunted down and tried immediately. A man hunt for Raymond Ifeanyi Uche the celebrant and The mobile police man who was identified as Mohammed Oseni is ongoing as both upon the incidence are at large.
The owner of La Silver Bar in Iyana Ipaja and two other guests had been arrested as the case has been transferred to Panti. The corpses of the dead had been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital while investigation is ongoing.
