In Taraba State, eleven people were killed yesterday in a brutal battle between farmers and Fulani herdsmen.
The killing occurred after many peace agreements between the warring parties failed to cease the state’s killings.
Several persons were alleged to have been displaced as a result of the turmoil that happened yesterday at Gassol Local Council.

According to sources, eleven persons were killed in the council’s revenge strike between the Tiv and Fulani ethnic groups.
According to the source, the retaliation attack came after a Fulani herder was robbed and slain by suspected Tiv criminals on his way from Sansani market.
Apart from his brother’s death, the whereabouts of two of his female daughters are unknown, according to one of the attack’s victims.
The victim, identified only as Korbee David, requested the state administration to restore normalcy as soon as possible so that they could seek for their missing loved ones.
He claimed that the villagers had previously recovered six bodies, with the Vigilante group assisting in the retrieval of four more.

“I can’t give you the precise number of victims right now since the Fulanis are continuously hunting and killing people on their fields,” says the narrator.
According to the report, some people were slain along the boundary between Gassol and Wukari Local Council, according to the Chief of Bantaje Chiefdom, Yahaya Abubakar Rufai.
Abdullahi Usman, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), did not pick up or respond repeated calls for confirmation made to his known cell phone numbers.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) has revealed that three of its employees were killed by suspected sea pirates in the Okoroma town of Nembe Local Council in Bayelsa State.
On Sunday, three Agip employees and some members of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were ambushed by rampaging sea pirates while repairing some facilities near the Obama oil flow station. Three Agip employees and one NSCDC employee were confirmed dead.
“With deep regret, Eni confirms that a group of Eni contractors escorted by security personnel were attacked by an armed group, causing as far as we know three fatalities and two injuries,” NAOC said in an emailed statement.

They also stated that those deceased were contractors working with the oil giant on a Mangrove Restoration project, which aims to restore mangroves in Nigeria’s Swamp region. “The project is being severely harmed by illegal refineries and spills as a result of sabotage,” they said.
