Delta Police assures residents of a hitch free Eid-El-Fitr celebration, felicitates with Muslim faithfuls in Delta state

Bright Edafe, PPRO Delta State Command Asaba in a press release made available to Naomi Sophy Blog on 9th April, 2024 states that, The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has guaranteed that the Command would keep up its efforts to combat crime and criminality and enhance public safety and security across the State during the forthcoming Eid-El-fitr celebration.

The CP gave the assurance while charging all Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers in the Command to set up their Areas of Responsibility (AoR) security architecture for proactive, effective policing of the Eid-el-fitr celebration to ensure adequate security for the State throughout the festivities and beyond.

The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, extend his warmest felicitation to all the Muslim Ummah residents in the state who are celebrating this auspicious occasion of this year’s Eid-El-Fitr. The CP noted that Eid is the epitome of collective happiness, and the month of Ramadan brings us blessings, hence we should learn to shun all differences and promote harmony with the aim to show love and affection for each other according to Allah’s teachings.

The CP has deployed the officers of the command to all Muslim worship centers, nooks and crannies of the state to step up security in statutory mandate of securing lives and properties, maintaining peace and order at all times. He urge members of the public to continue to assist and collaborate with the police and other security agencies to enable them to serve the good people of the state better. He admonished them to be security conscious, law abiding and take appropriate measures towards personal protection and their personal effects, not only at home but also in public places such as markets, worship centers, shopping malls and highways.
