Corruption is bound to happen in a country where there are no rules of law – Prof. Bello Bada

By Naomisophyblog

Prof. Bello Bada, Usman Danfodio University, has pointed out the contradictions where individuals with limited official income amass significant wealth as a result of corruption. He revealed that a former Accountant General of the Federation, accused of stealing over N109 billion, was recently turbaned by the Emir of Kano, emphasising the apparent incongruity of such a person receiving such an honour.

In the video posted by Sahara TV, Prof. Bada expressed the view that corruption is bound to occur in a country where there are no rules of law. He added that human beings cannot be stopped when it comes to the pursuit of their interests.

According to him, “Our topic here is corruption as far as leadership in Nigeria is concerned. I express my own understanding; I said corruption does not spare any other country and human being. As you see, as long as you don’t implement the rules and regulations of the country, don’t think you can stop him. Human being can turn into anything. Sometimes, he can even become animalistic. He even kills in pursuit of his own interests. It’s universal; it’s all over the world.
