In a message posted on his 𝕏 account on Monday, he made the assertion.
According to Bwala, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reforms represent required adjustments rather than a failure of policy.
Yes, reform is noisy, he wrote. However, we must be truthful with ourselves as Nigerians. Even louder were the issues we endured for years. We’ve just become accustomed to them. Waste, inefficiency, and the difficulty of making basic things work become the norm.
He insisted that the current interruptions are a part of a larger initiative to address the nation’s long-standing structural problems.
It won’t be quiet or simple now that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is trying to make things right. Genuine change never is. “The sound you hear today is the sound of challenging but essential change,” Bwala continued.
The presidential assistant emphasized that resilience and sacrifice are necessary for nation-building, pointing out that reform procedures are rarely easy.
“Building a nation is not a silent process. It calls for bravery, selflessness, and integrity. He added, “Reform is the only way to long-term stability and shared prosperity for all Nigerians, even though it may be uncomfortable for some.”
Bwala also chastised opposition parties for their lack of alternative policy recommendations, especially with regard to significant economic choices made by the current government.
“The opposition hasn’t yet informed us of the options to eliminating fuel subsidies. They have not yet disclosed the FX rate reconciliation option. Among many other things, they have yet to make a counter offer to young Nigerians regarding Nelfund’s student loan, he said.
He also criticized previous governments, implying that their actions had detrimental effects on the nation.
