After scoring a goal in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Super Eagles striker Akor Adams claims he is living out a dream after making his first senior appearance for Nigeria.
The Sevilla forward replaced Tolu Arokodare in the 63rd minute of the match against Lesotho after coming off the bench. He made a spectacular entrance 17 minutes later, connecting flawlessly with a deft pass from Victor Osimhen.
Following the game, Adams posted a heartfelt statement on Instagram, looking back on his career and the part Osimhen played at a dark period.
“God himself wrote some of the life scripts! Many thanks, @victorosimhen9. He wrote, “I am living a dream!!!” remembering how Osimhen helped him while he was having trouble at Norwegian club Sogndal right after the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
In a private message to Osimhen, he asked for his counsel. He shared the inspiring response he received from the former Napoli striker.

From his early hardships in Norway to playing for Sevilla in Spain’s La Liga, the 24-year-old’s path has been one of perseverance and faith in himself.
Adams, who has now scored his first goal for his country, appears prepared to take on a larger role as Nigeria attempts to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
