Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist, has stated that what she has learned and continues to learn in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) would not have been taught by a political science degree.
This was revealed on Saturday in a statement shared on her verified X profile by the co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls Movement.
According to the report, Yesufu joined the ADC on December 31, 2025, not long after Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, defected to the party.
“No political science degree would have taught me the things I am learning simply by being a registered member of ADC, and I love it.”
The actual power brokering happens within political parties. The best choice I’ve ever made is to join ADC,” she remarked.
Recall that in advance of the 2027 elections, Yesufu had recently counseled opposition leaders Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to implement pragmatic campaign tactics that directly address the financial struggles that many Nigerians experience.
She stated that many folks are now more focused on their immediate survival than political messaging due to widespread poverty.
