Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State and chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Convention Planning Committee, says the party is traveling to Ibadan for the elective convention that is scheduled to take place there.
Shortly after a meeting on Thursday evening, Fintiri revealed this in an interview with reporters.
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, PDP National Chairman Umar Damagum, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, and former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs Tanimu Turaki were among those who attended the meeting, which took place at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro.
“We recently concluded a crucial stakeholders’ meeting in which numerous complex choices were made.
Fintiri declared, “I want to tell you here that we are heading to Ibadan for our convention, which is sacrosanct.”
His security aides swiftly took him away, making it impossible to persuade him to remark further on the party’s situation.
