According to reports, TikTok influencer Peller has been challenged by the Lagos State Government to pay ₦36 million in income tax.
According to reports, Peller, who gained notoriety last year, disclosed this in a live video alongside Peruzzi, a singer.
He claimed that considering his recent pay increase and present income, he believes the tax agency’s massive tax bill is irrational.
As Peruzzi entered the conversation, he reminded Peller that Nigerians are legally required to pay taxes and added that his personal tax payments are higher than what Peller was required to pay.
Peller was encouraged by the singer to pay the tax bill as soon as possible in order to avoid legal issues, which might include jail time.

Nonetheless, Peller maintained that the tax demand was excessive and stated that the government had never provided him with any assistance as a result of his TikTok operations.
Because he publicly flaunted his wealth and revealed his TikTok profits, he claimed, the government singled him out.
Peruzzi advised Peller to ask for extra time to set up payment, but Peller insisted that social media, not local Nigerian sources, made up the majority of his revenue.
