Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has introduced the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 election, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The event came on the heels of the emergence of Dr. Gwamna as the APC governorship candidate after he won the party’s primary election ahead of the polls.
Governor Yahaya’s spokesperson, Ismaila Uba Misilli, stated that while receiving Governor Yahaya and Dr. Gwamna, President Tinubu congratulated the candidate on his emergence and commended Yahaya for his exemplary leadership.
Tinubu also expressed confidence in the leadership of the APC in the state, saying he was optimistic that the party would continue with its developmental achievements and political stability under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Governor Yahaya, while speaking during the meeting, lauded President Tinubu for providing purposeful leadership that continues to strengthen unity, cohesion and progressive governance across the country.
He thanked the President for his unflinching support to Gombe State particularly in the areas of infrastructure development, economic growth and policies aimed at promoting sustainable development.
