Barcelona, the winners of the Premier League Roma’s failure to qualify on the last day has put Liverpool, Chelsea, and Real Madrid in Pot 1 of the seeds for the 2025–2026 UEFA Champions League league phase draw.
It has been reported that Barcelona will end up in Pot 1 for the second straight season.
Atalanta finished in the top four last season, but if they had finished in fifth place in Serie A, Roma would have guaranteed a spot in the competition.

Right now, Barcelona is in tenth place and Roma is in ninth place. With Roma out, Barcelona moves up to the first pot.

Also in Pot 1 will be Manchester City, led by Pep Guardiola. The teams in Pot 1 are not, however, prohibited from playing each other.
