Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has stated that the process of picking the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential nominee for 2023 will be tumultuous.
In a recent interview with a major television station in Port Harcourt, the state capital, the governor stated that only a PDP administration could save the country from its current problems.
He stated that he would not support a presidential candidate who is unprepared for the work ahead.

“Don’t let anyone persuade you that selecting a presidential candidate will be simple.
“No way, it’ll never happen.” You should be aware that there are two forms of turbulence. Turbulence that does not cause a crash is known as normal turbulence. There is enough turbulence that a crash is likely.
“The volatility we’re seeing in PDP is natural turbulence, and I believe we’ll be able to get through it.” APC turbulence, on the other hand, is turbulence that is likely to result in a crash.
“The PDP has redeemed itself in terms of what Nigerians demand because they are tired of what is happening in the country.” As a result, they require an alternative, and the PDP is currently the only viable option,” he explained.

“As a result, if you want to run for president under the PDP, I will not back someone who simply wants to run under the name of a former presidential candidate; I will not agree to it.” “I need to see that you’re ready for it, and that you’re ready to tackle this evil called APC,” he stated.
