Ten thousand students in Enugu State are now able to register for the 2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) at no cost because to the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA).
Speaking at the program’s introduction yesterday, Belusochukwu Enwere, the National Coordinator for SERHA, stated that the program’s goal is to eliminate financial obstacles that preclude qualified students from pursuing higher education by paying for 10,000 eligible applicants’ JAMB registration.
“The program is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes inclusive national development, education reform, and youth empowerment, among other things,” Enwere said.
According to Enwere, the intervention aims to empower the next generation to contribute to the growth and development of the state and the nation, as well as to invest in the future and go beyond simply registering for exams.
This initiative focuses on strategic empowerment rather than charity. We secure our economy when we educate our young people. Our country is strengthened when our students are empowered.
As part of larger initiatives to increase access to higher education, he cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and emphasized federal education sector changes, such as initiatives to stabilize relations with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
Parents and guardians were urged to continue supporting their children’s academic endeavors, while Enwere urged the pupils to prepare well and take use of the chance.
