Only close relatives and a select group of friends and trustworthy associates were present.

Hiqma, the 23-year-old new wife, was welcomed into the Bello home without a big fanfare or public event.

Hafiza, Bello’s third wife, announced the marriage on Sunday on Instagram, welcoming Hiqma as the newest member of their family.

She wrote: “Thank God, our family has grown a bit and is now more affectionate! We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Hiqma Yahaya Bello as a new member of our family! May Allah reward our marriage and provide love, serenity, and barakah into our home. Amin!

Bello, who led Kogi State from 2016 to 2024, is 50 years old and already married to three women: Hafiza, Rashidat, and Amina Oyiza.
