The Labour Party’s former National Youth Leader, Prince Kennedy Ahanotu, has attacked the party’s former presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, for not building lasting political structures and leaving those who support him in the lurch.

Speaking on TVC News, Ahanotu said Obi’s political history is one of hopping from one platform to the other without strengthening the existing structures.

“Peter Obi is not a builder of men; he leaves his own people behind,” he said, adding that true leadership was about building institutions and empowering followers rather than relying on personal popularity alone.

“Obi’s loyalty to political parties was also questioned by Ahanotu, who pointed to the movement of the former governor across platforms over the years.

The former Labour Party leader said the mark of strong political leadership was the ability to build loyal structures that could outlive an individual’s influence.
