The Obidient Movement has accused the splinter group that expelled ex-presidential candidate, Peter Obi and Yunusa Tanko of trying to sow discord as to its identity.
In a signed statement, Tanko, the National Coordinator of the movement, said that the Obidient Movement does not recognize any parallel structure within its ranks.
The Obidient Movement Rebrand group expelled Obi and Tanko from the group during a press briefing in Abuja.
“We turned down the expulsion. Tanko said in a statement said: “We have come to know the activities and pronouncements by some persons and groups seeking to operate under names and structures meant to generate confusion as to who they are, who leads them or any change that is taking place.
To make this clear, the Obidient Movement does not recognize any other groups, divisions or leaders apart from its official leadership which is in tandem with His Excellency, Peter Obi.
“Every group, organization and individual that claims to represent the Obidient Movement, its principles and its leaders, under any name or guise, have been warned that they do not represent the Obidient Movement.
