In an interview on X Monday, Baba-Ahmed told Peter Obi to steer clear of the 2027 presidential election if he is not ready to fight.

He blamed Peter Obi’s exit from Labour Party, saying he would have stayed to face the opposition party’s challenge.

He said the north might not rally behind Peter Obi and ex-Kano Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso’s presidential ticket as being peddled by both politicians.

“While I do not like what the All Progressives Congress has done against Nigerians, anybody who got the Labour Party ticket so easily should have stayed to fix the problem of the party no matter how difficult it is.

My former leader (Peter Obi) saying that he will walk away where there is a quarrel? So there is a fight in Nigeria, would he walk away? “If you’re not ready to fight, stay in your house,” he said.

Remember, Peter Obi and Kwankwaso dumped the African Democratic Congress for the Nigerian Democratic Congress on Sunday.

It was reported that Peter Obi had defected earlier from LP where he contested the 2023 presidential election with Baba-Ahmed.
