The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the police are looking into claims of fraud and forgery against the CEO of Blessing.
The Delta State Police Command told Punch that they had gotten a complaint about the issue and had begun looking into the claims.
This comes after claims that the influencer faked a cancer diagnosis and used a fake medical report to get donations from the public.
Edefa Bright, the Police Public Relations Officer in Delta State, told the publication mentioned above, “We acknowledge the petitions; we are waiting for the complainants to come and give us their statement.” After that, we will look into it.
Dele Oyewale, the Head of Media and Publicity at the EFCC, said the same thing: “There was a petition submitted; we received it, and we are going to look into it.” Our next steps will depend on what we find.
People started to argue about Okoro after she said she had cancer, which made her followers feel sorry for her and support her.
However, inconsistencies in her claims led to a lot of criticism, with many people doubting the accuracy of the diagnosis.
The Nigerian Medical Association in Delta State said that the histology report linked to her was not true. They said that Xinus Medical Diagnostics in Asaba gave the report to Deborah Mbara, a breast cancer survivor, on May 9, 2025, after she had been referred for a confirmatory breast cancer test.
Later, Mbara accused the influencer of changing her medical report to get donations from people.
