Ezendigbo Ijegun/Ijeododo palace refutes claims of opposing Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu Re-election bid, Says they are partisan.

By Onome Naomi

The Ezendigbo Palace chaperoned by HRM Eze Chika Nwokedi has repeatedly stated that the Ijegun Ijeododo palace is not a political separatist and would never be against Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu’s government as misinterpreted by an anonymous sender of a viral WhatsApp message suggesting a “work against” the present government of Lagos State.

Lagos State has given a good leverage for non indigenes enough for adequate support in its re-election bid and would not be condemned or denied the ample respect of the Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo palace to work with the Lagos government not work against it.

To this regards, a disclaimer was released from the Ijegun Ijeododo palace by Chief Dr.Godwin Aneme the cabinet chairman to disclaim such message concocted to breach peace as it reads:

The Palace is by no means partisan hence cannot canvass votes either for or against any aspirants in any election whatsoever. The Palace hereby unequivocally states that it didn’t appoint anyone to speak on its behalf on any political affair or in respect of any incident whatsoever either directly or indirectly.

The Palace of Ezendigbo of Ijegun/Ijeododo and its cabinet are made up of law abiding citizens of this country who would not engage in activities or make statements that would be inimical and threat to the peace of our community or anyone.

We therefore wish to reiterate that neither the Eze of Ijegun/Ijeododo nor its palace and cabinet members have authorized any person whatsoever to make statement on their behalf and therefore urge everyone to disregard the WhatsApp voicenote or any other message claimed to have emaneted from them.
