New Branch Chiefs, Air Officers Commanding (AOCs), and other senior officers were appointed by the Nigerian Air Force yesterday.
The appointment was approved by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, according to a statement released by NAF headquarters.
The appointment, according to a statement signed by NAF spokesman Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, was a routine exercise aimed at reinvigorating the service for improved performance, productivity, operational efficiency, and effective service delivery.

AVM Jackson Yusuf, the former AOC Special Operations Command (SOC) Bauchi, has been appointed Chief of Training and Operations (CTOP), HQ NAF, while AVM Abubakar Liman, the Chief of Air Intelligence, HQ NAF, is in charge of the Air Intelligence Branch.
AVM Emmanuel Wonah, former Managing Director of NAF Investments Limited (NAFIL), has been appointed as Chief of Aircraft Engineering (CAcE) at HQ NAF, AVM Raimi Salami has been redeployed as Chief of Communications Information Systems (CCIS) at HQ NAF, and AVM Olatokunbo Adesanya has been appointed as Chief of Logistics (CLOG) at HQ NAF.
AVM Aliyu Bello, the former AOC Mobility Command (MC), Yenagoa, is now the Chief of Standards and Evaluation (COSE), HQ NAF, while AVM Nelson Calmday will be the Chief of Administration (COA), HQ NAF, and AVM Paul Jemitola will be the Air Secretary, HQ NAF.

While congratulating the new appointees, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, the Chief of Air Staff, charged them to continue to challenge and explore their critical thinking mindsets in order to provide workable solutions and strategies to be deployed against the country’s various security challenges. This, according to the CAS, was especially important at a time when the NAF, in collaboration with sister services and other security agencies, was consolidating gains made against all forms of criminality in the country.
The newly appointed and redeployed senior officers are expected to start their new jobs on or before January 7, 2022, according to the statement.
