The final 28-man Nigerian squad for the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations has been altered.
The changes were announced by the Nigeria Football Federation’s spokesperson, Ademola Olajire, in a statement released on Friday.
The substitution of Henry Onyekuru for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen was one of the most significant changes.
Also, the exclusion of Cyprus-based Abdullahi Shehu allowed for the return of Tyrone Ebuehi, who is now with Venezia in the Italian Serie A, and the return of England-based Oluwasemilogo Ajayi for the injured Leon Balogun.
