Mr Gianni Infantino, the President of FIFA, has lavished praise on Mr Amaju Melvin Pinnick, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, as the latter celebrated his birthday on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021.

“This past year, despite many challenges, has demonstrated and highlighted the exemplary unity and solidarity of the football world, and I can only express my sincere gratitude to you for your efforts, work, and contribution within the FIFA Council,” Infantino wrote in a letter personally signed to a fellow FIFA Council Member.
As he celebrated on Wednesday, the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, which Pinnick has led superbly for the past seven years and two months, heaped praise on the debonair and formidable administrator.

Dr Mohammed Sanusi, the NFF’s General Secretary and Secretary to the Board, said Pinnick has shown exceptional leadership and is one of the most imaginative and active leaders Nigerian football has seen in a long time.
